PaleDNN Twitter Module

The PaleDNN Twitter Module is designed to be the most flexible, yet most easy to use, twitter module available for the DotNetNuke platform. It provides an unparalleled level of flexibility and control for the DNN portal administrator through the use of a complete templating system in tandem with a robust set of module settings. The module is designed to work very simply out of the box for the basic display of tweets from a specified Twitter account, but can be customized through the use of templating and CSS to display your recent tweets in virtually any way you can imagine.

  • The portal administrator can specify the number of tweets to display, from 1 to 20.
  • The portal administrator can specify how long to cache the tweets to prevent metering issues with the Twitter servers.

Rotator Example

PaleDNN Twitter has an Extensive List of Tokens

The template displayed below shows a single tweet with all of the tokens that are available for use. Note the extreme flexibility of time and date display, such as the ability to display the abbreviated month name ("Aug"), the full month name ("August"), the month number ("8"), or even the month number with a leading 0 ("08"). With PaleDNN Twitter you can create a full page layout that displays all of your Twitter stats and information, you can create a micro layout with almost no information, or anywhere in between. The only limit is your imagination.
